During a major earthquake, phones are not going to work or lines will be overwhelmed. 911 will be unable to handle the volume of calls. Firefighters and first responders are required to do a windshield assessment of the damage before starting to respond. We as a community can help our first responders and ourselves by working together as a neighborhood team to report the location of victims and hazards. This will allow them to start responding faster, which can save lives and property.
