Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training is a FREE, ONLINE emergency training program to empower our community to prepare for and overcome the effects of any disaster that can disrupt our daily lives. Learn basic skills that can mean the difference between being a victim or a survivor in the next emergency and allow you to contribute in a meaningful way to your community.
This 16-hour, self-paced course will give you the knowledge to keep you safe and help you safely respond to supporting your community. NOTE: This is non-certificated class since it does not have the hands-on components. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a home preparedness class. The major focus is on preparation to help your neighborhood respond to a disaster through post-disaster CERT operations. Our goal is for trainees to become members of their local CERT team or, if their neighborhood as yet has no team, to help recruit future team members and to volunteer with teams in nearby neighborhoods.
