About

Past disasters in California, such as the Tubbs Fire in Santa Rosa and the Napa Earthquake, have proven that in a disaster situation, people want to help. With the proper training they will assist, save lives and property in a safe manner, and be the "first responders on the scene.” You can get the training for free in your own community by participating in a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program.

Almost every city in the United States has at least one CERT team organized under the city's emergency services office. CERT teams are an essential component to emergency response throughout the nation and allow government emergency personnel to help more people more efficiently.

As part of the Richmond REACT/CERT and Office of Emergency Services, CERT Richmond aims to prepare our neighborhood for disaster, help organize a response, keep records, and provide light medical and rescue assistance to our neighbors in civil and natural emergencies. Take action today to get your family prepared and sign up for a free CERT training so you can help your loved ones and the larger community.
